In the 1920s, a man by the name of Yoshizawa from Japan came up with a method to force Chrysanthemums to bloom all year round. Yoshizawa did this by exposing the Chrysanthemums to the cold for a few days before bringing the flowers back up to room temperature. The blooming Chrysanthemums became an instant hit in Japan and shortly after, he was asked to send a bouquet of the blooming Chrysanthemums to the United States, which he did. The blooming Chrysanthemums became such a hit in the United States that growers began to work on improving the process. mozart-collection Mozart collection
